Is it really worth it?

I was just surfing the youtube and I found this video.

I'm sure many of you have probably seen this guy floating around the internet. His name is Rodrigo Ferraz. I'm sure you also noticed something is very off about him. Well I did my research (google) and found that there are two theories going around. One is that this guy got implants. Now I can say I can believe that. If you look at his traps you can see they just don't match up with his shoulders. It's just not right. Then you look at his arms. They also don't look right. Look too small. This his shoulders look like they are far too hard. Well the other theory is that he injects oil into his muscles to make them look fuller. This one is also believable. Again look at the shoulders. It's probably a combo of the two. What I don't get is why? Why would you do that to your body. It already looks off now. Wait about 10 years and it will look really off. Plus he has got himself believing that he's some hot shot. Like he is stronger then the world. He pans to all these proteins that we are suppose to believe he takes. At least someone that takes steroids has to take protein as well and we all can believe they take a protein, but this guy no. I'd like to see him in the gym. Notice he has no videos of that. I saw another video where he couldn't pull himself out of a pool of what looked like yogurt. Super strong my ass. The really sad thing is that this guy isn't the only one doing this to himself. Check this video out.

Again all I can say is why? This dude looks so disfigured. Even resting his arms look like they are being flexed. Did he get that way naturally hell no. He injected oil into his arm. Hey I want to get bigger arms as much as the next guy, but why risk my health for something that anyone can pick out of a lineup and say oh that guy clearly did something. It's this big fad in Brazil. Just ugh. Oh and I'm not done grossing you out yet.

The real kicker is that none of these guys are any stronger then when they didn't inject themselves. It's a purely cosmetic thing. Plus why is it always in the arms. At least go for some symmetry. I mean the first guy has no forearm build what so ever and we are suppose to believe he has biceps like that naturally. But again my main question is why? Why disfigure yourself so badly. Why put your body in that much harm. Least guys that do steroids look somewhat symmetrical. You just got to feel sorry for those people. To feel so badly about the way you look that you inject oil into your muscles and blow them out of proportion just to get attention. Even if it's negative. Wow just wow.
Well after all that grossness it's time to cleanse your eye pallet. I'm sure you've heard the FCC song from Family Guy. The song that the FCC actually thinks is pretty funny. I learned that little fact during a family guy special. Anyway I think it's one of their funnier songs. So this should make your eyes feel better. Today's tip is today is the first of december and we all know what that means. 30 more days until the 2012 people begin a massive freak out.

Wow......

Today I went to the gym and the manager and one of the trainers were the only people there. Oh crap. So that meant I had to workout with them. I will say there is something I noticed about the manager (who is a certified personal trainer). He goes too heavy. He goes so heavy that he grunts every time he does one rep. I'm not saying that you can't grunt when you working out, but only as your pushing for those last one or two reps. Not every single rep. Plus he was clearly not able to control the weights. He was using the cable machine to do the kickbacks. He had it fat like 200lbs and he was struggling so hard and he couldn't put it down in a controlled way. He honestly looked like he was 2 seconds away from hurting himself. One thing that a lot of guys think is they have to do these super heavy weights to build muscle. No it's all about muscle fatigue. If you lift at a lighter weight where you have more control you're going to work the muscle better. Yes you have to do a few more reps to hit that muscle fatigue, but it's better then worrying that your going to hurt yourself. Now granted I think he's training for strength not muscle growth. They really are two different ways to train. I don't train for strength. I think it leads to injury. Plus have you seen a lot of power lifters. Yeah they are strong, but most of them look like they are super fat and that is not what I want.
That actually is a good transition into my next topic. Who in the world looks the same after 15 years. Everyone changes in a 15 year interval. Well apparently one guy expects us to believe he has the exact same body he had 15 years ago. He wants people to believe that he has the same body at 50 as he did at 35. Some of you probably know exactly who I'm talking about. Well look at the picture. He honestly looks like his stomach was air brushed. Honestly it looks like a photo he took around the age of 35 and just says he's 50 when he took it. He wants us to believe he is in bodybuilding shape. It's clearly a scam. If you look at his arms in the "50" picture then look at one where he's wearing a shirt you can tell they aren't the same arms. It's just impossible to have the exact same shape at 50 as you did at 35 unless you are taking something like testosterone booster shots or some steroids. I mean come on. Be critical of everything you see, especially when it comes to supplements and bodybuilding.
Today's tip is just because you can kick that cop in the crotch doesn't mean you should. Though that does take balls.

Well duh

I was watching the Today show and there were two segments that got my attention. The first was about how whenever you send you gold in for cash to all these sites and companies that say they will give you cash for it, you'll sometimes get ripped off. Some companies were fair with there prices. Others not so much. They had a professional gold appraiser give them packets of gold all costing about $450 each. some companies were close to that. Others were half of that. One was 8% of that. Yeah 8%. Now the reason why I hate those companies is because just as I figured they make these big promises that they can't keep. Oh you'll get 10% more then the next company blah blah blah. They tend to lose your gold in the mail. It's too easy to get scammed. They did an investigation on these companies earlier this year and found out that most of the time you couldn't get your gold back or they would process your gold through and you have to take their payment. This is why you go to a local jeweler. You ask them for a price. Shop around and go with the highest bidder. That way your gold doesn't leave your sight and your helping the local economy. Nope people have to do it because they saw it on tv.
The other story was about parents treating their obese children differently. I couldn't stick around for the segment so I don't know if they said they treat them better or worse. I will say that it is an obvious yes for two reasons. 1. No two children are ever treated the same. How we get treated by are parents is based on were we are in the line up (oldest, middle, youngest), our age, our gender, and our personalities. You obviously can't expect your 12 year old to act the same way as a 17 year old. The expectations are different. You can't treat a boy like a girl or vice versa. The 2nd reason is that our society has changed it's outlook on obesity. 10 years ago a parent of an obese child wouldn't get the same scrutiny they do now. Think about the last time you saw an obese child with their parent. I'm sure you thought (even for a second) that wow the parents can't help with that? I know that goes through my head. Plus obese kids tend to have a lot more problems. They have more health problems, tend to have low self-esteem, and/or don't socialize well. So of course these kids are going to be treated differently. I could have saved those scientist that did the study tons of money by telling them that.
I think we have to look at our society for the answer as well. There is some shame that is brought upon a parent if their child is overweight. They get those stares. I'm sure if they could read minds people are thinking oh that parent is endangering that child. The thing is that being overweight as a child is sometimes not permanent. There are people I know that were chunky in elementary school then as high schoolers they thinned out. When your taller weight distributes better. It's why it's hard to find a tall fat person. Not impossible, but hard. Well if you don't work right next to a fast food joint. Anyway we all seem to have it in our minds that it's easy to loose weight now. With all the infomercials about exercise machines, diet plans, and new video games out that are interactive. Well the thing is that it's not easy to lose weight. If it was everyone would be skinny. There are many factors that go into it. Yes sitting around a lot and eating junk food is one of the key things to change, but there is also genetics. Ever seen a family of large people. Well it's probably because they are endomorphs meaning they pack on pounds easier then other people. The other factor is they have to make the change for them. I've seen tons of people come in here and just want a pill that will make them skinny. The pill will only speed up your metabolism. It won't make you skinny. If you watch those Hydroxycut commercials you'd see that they have in fine print with diet and exercise. Our society has gotten so lazy. Everyone just wants a quick fix. Well there isn't one for losing weight. And if you aren't in it for the long haul you won't ever see the results you want.
The other thing is kids don't ever want to admit there is a problem and same with the adults. I've only seen one overweight teen come in since I've been here. His mom did all the talking and got my boss to do a consultation for her son. On the day of the consultation my boss said that a large man dropped the kid off. He couldn't get his weight because the scale only goes up to 300. There was so much body fat he fat gun was not able to go high enough. During the consultation the guy didn't say much. He came in once since then to get stuff. I'm sure the mom said I tried and gave up. She just wanted to be able to say I took him to someone. He wasn't to interested in losing weight either. It's things like that, that make it hard for kids to lose the weight. They just resign themselves to being fat if most of their family is. They are resigned to being obese. Until his attitude changes I can't see him living longer then his 25th birthday. It was like something one of my friends told me. He had a 16 year old working for him at Wendy's that was so fat they had to order him a 2XL. He couldn't be at the grill because he blocked people from going through. He had to be moved off the grill because he was sweating so bad it was falling on the food. Fast forward a few years he sees him again and he's walking with a cane. He weighed more then he did at 16. He was on disability because he was so large. That is what happens when you resign yourself to being big. I've seen guys that were on that road that turned it around. All because of attitude change.
I found another abridged series. Yeah it's a good one and I can't wait to get caught up on it. It's Sailor Moon Abridged. Yeah how can you not love that. It's also ironic that I would post it after the rant I just had. Watch it and you'll see what I mean. Oh and quick side note just like the 1st episode of any abridged series the sound is a little off. Meaning some characters sound louder then others. Today's tip is we are all different. That means people will treat us different (better or worse). Taking it personally will just weigh on your nerves.

15 minutes aren't up

So that reporter is still in the news. I was watching the Today show and Meredith says that what she was wearing is getting more attention then what the players did and is that fair. Well to her question I reply with you were one of the people that pointed it out. When you interviewed her yesterday. Anyway it's sparked this huge debate on what's appropriate to wear in that situation. So I'm just going to say it from a guy's perspective. If you go anywhere wearing jeans so tight we can see everything then that tells us you are overly sexual. You are sending signals of you are a sexual object. That's not taking into account the images of her on the Azeteca website. Then on top of that you are in a men's locker room. After guys have had practice. You see when guys workout our testosterone goes up so that's the worst time for a female to be in a locker room. Oh and on top of that she's already getting special treatment being in the locker room. If a guy was to go into a female locker room as a reporter he'd be viewed as a pervert. So you are already getting special treatment. Then you want to comment that you can't look anywhere. YOU ARE IN A LOCKER ROOM! Men change there. They aren't going to sit around in sweaty pads and clothes just because your in there. Then it turns out she didn't even alert the NFL to it. Some organization representing female sports reporters did. So that tells me right there she's use to it and this time she happened to tweet about it. Now I'm not saying sexual harassment is ok, but I am saying that what you wear does cause reactions. If I was to go into a woman's locker room dressed in super tight jeans that show my bulge, and a skin tight shirt, after the women stop screaming, I wouldn't be shocked if they objectified me. How I'm dressed is sending the signal to objectify me. If she had been wearing her hair in a bun and a dress suit then she wouldn't be under this light. If she had dressed like a guy in something comfortable yet professional then this wouldn't be such a big deal. How you dress sends a message and that's what everyone is focused on. She was sending a message of look at my body I have nothing to hide. Here are my ASSets.
Which actually leads me to my next point. A lot of how our bodies look is based on genetics. Things we can not change. For example the first one is our genders. Men can lose fat a lot easier because we have testosterone and can build more muscle because of it. Women on the other hand will always have nicer asses because of their estrogen. Our gender also effects where fat hits us the most. The next example is our body types. If your an Ectomorph you will naturally be skinny and have a hard time putting on weight. If you are a Mesomorph (the "ideal" body type) then you put on muscle easy and still have a pretty easy time losing weight or staying lean. These are the type that typical are star athletes. They are also the only body type that can every use the line I'm not fat I'm big boned (even though they'd only get fat if they never did any exercise which usually doesn't happen). Lastly is Endomorph which is the type that would like to say they aren't fat they are big boned when in all actuality they are actually medium boned. Anyway these are the type that can not lose weight for the life of them. They have to workout 10 times harder to lose the same weight a mesomorph loses and don't even try to compare it to an ectomorph. They are however the ideal type to be a football player. As if that wasn't enough we also have muscles that are designed a specific way. What I mean is the shape of our muscles is genetic. Do you know a guy who worked out maybe a few months and all of a sudden has a bicep peak yet you workout for a year and your just now seeing one. Well that's genetics. My bicep bulges more to the side then up yet my boss has one that peaks very easily. How are stomach looks is also genetic. My abs bulge out instead of being going inside. So I can't every really have that slim stomach. My abs are always going to bulge out and the more I work them the more they bulge out. Then as if that doesn't make it seem much worse there are also people that have body parts that just develop easier. For instance I know a guy who never works his biceps yet they are the perfect size for his height to weight (the symmetry test). For me I have to work my biceps a whole lot to get them even close to the size they are suppose to be, yet I don't have to do much to my legs or back to get them to look good. My back responded quickest to my workouts. My legs were next. We all have those trouble areas. I bring this up because I know a lot of people that want to look like the models in the magazines. The thing is not all of us can. Some of us have all those things working against us. Some have everything going their way so they can easily put on muscle and look like a model. So remember that.
Today's video is Aaron's Party by Aaron Carter. If you don't remember him then congrats on waking up from that comma. He was a big deal because his brother Nick Carter was in the backstreet boys. Aaron road his brother's success for 2 years I think. Now they have some reality show or had one. Anyway I'm posting this video because I know I can post 2 more vids later based off of it. Today's tip is when given the choice between an ocarina that bends the laws of nature and physics or a wand that changes wind direction choose the ocarina.

Think this stuff is working

Or my eyes are playing tricks on me. I went up to the mirror today and said wow looks like I actually have pecs. I look down and they look and felt real. Also saw a whole lot more stomach muscles. Maybe this stuff does work. The funny thing is my co-worker said that you know it's working if you get a pimple in a weird spot. Or you could just do the mirror and gym test.
I also noticed I seem to be able to go on less sleep. Just seems I do a whole lot more tossing and turning and waking up in the middle of the night yet in the morning I'm perfectly awake. During the day I'm no more tired then normal. Maybe it's the build up of testosterone. Well on my post cycle I'll be taking a product that I know gives me some good sleep. Just wish I had more people to talk into trying it. All those that would try it seem to have already been in and won't be in until later on in the month. Oh and I also found some jeans that don't feel like they are trying to strangle my thighs. Still do need to go out and get some new ones I'm sure.
Also had a meeting this morning. It was dull like usual, but I did get free donuts. I love free donuts. Actually I love free food period. Then again how many of us don't like free food. Plus I had some real doozies yesterday. Had the guy who really can never make up his mind about anything. He goes on the internet for everything and believes everything he reads. Makes you wonder why he comes in to ask what my opinion is on certain things. I had to flatly tell him that you can't lean out and gain mass at the same time. Well you can try, but it's very hard to do. That's why most guys bulk up then lean out. It's a whole lot easier to do. Of course he didn't listen and wants to still try. I think he thinks that leaning out means you get so skinny you look like a cyclist or a marathon runner. Ugh people like that are the hardest to help.
Today's excuse is we didn't start the fire. The scapegoat did. Like it always does.

And labor day

Yep we get today off unless you work for a retail chain. Yeah think about that. You know I'm right.
So this morning I went to workout, and just as I figured no one was there. Plus I got to start my new workout plan as well. Honestly I think it was a good change. Felt like I got a good workout in. No one was in the back to bug me. I didn't have to rush through my workout because I didn't have to go to work. It was great. So as me and my workout buddy (who I had to drag into the gym) were doing our cool down when this guy wearing jeans comes in. He didn't have any change of clothes so I wondering if we had another weirdo that likes to workout in jeans. I snuck a side view and it looked like he was looking for something. So I whispered over to my buddy that I think he's looking for something. Well he comes over our way and asks if we had seen a watch. I said no haven't seen a watch. My buddy says well check the lost and found. Then here is where it gets annoying. He then tells us that it's a $13k watch. Ok we didn't ask how much it cost. Then he tells us what it looks like. Again we didn't ask. He then tells us where he lost it. Again we didn't ask. So my buddy says he should talk to the manager since they have the 24 hour surveillance cameras. Then again he gives us some more useless information. Yeah I live in Madison. I own a gym in some other Wisconsin city. Again I didn't ask and I don't care. First of all why the hell would you bring a $13k watch into a gym just to take it off and lay it down outside of your gym bag. Next is why are you telling us all this information. We haven't seen a watch and if we had we would have told you. My buddy wears a watch the whole time he's working out. If he's not wearing it it's in the gym bag. That is the thing I don't get about people. They will gladly flaunt how much their watch cost and how much it does, then carelessly leave it out. I don't care if your the only person in the gym. Ugh....people.
So after I took a shower I was thinking. Everyone is different. Yes I know we have all heard that, but I mean muscle wise. I mean there are guys who don't workout and clearly have peaks in their biceps. It took me about a year to get my peak. Mine also bulges out on the side. My stomach does not flatten. It's one reason why I've always thought I was fat. I have abs that protrude out. I've gotten my body fat to 4.95% before and still it looked like I had belly fat. So I've resigned myself to knowing that because of the way my ab muscles look I will never have that flat tummy that you see on tv. Doesn't mean I don't have a strong core. I think that's something that we all forget. We see these models on tv and in the magazines, but we never stop to think that there is a reason why they are models. They are those that have the stomachs that have abs that don't protrude out. They are the type that can get the perfect bicep peak. They are the ones that have to do yo yo diets and screw up there bodies when they get older. It's one of those things I learn from my job. I see all different body types. It honestly is helping me with my body image issues.
Here is more Yu Yu Hakusho abridged. Just so you know. If you say your an ice dragon you should probably look like one....yeah. Today's comment is today we celebrate workers by forcing people to work so we can have sales today.

Ready for satuday

So I'm just flat out ready for it to be Saturday. Ready for a day off to do nothing. Just seems like this week has just not gone well. Starting with the Ex. Now I know I shouldn't let what an ex get to me, but it does. It's kinda part of the depression. Hanging onto the negative more then the positive. Like for instance a lot of people have said they miss seeing me all week, but the one thing that sticks in my mind is my Ex being an ass. I was closing up last night and I just kept thinking about it. I also just kept feeling like I was a fat ass. Someone mentioned that I had strong legs, but I said no they are just fat. I just kept insisting that I had fat legs. That there wasn't any muscle on them keeping in mind I only have about 7 something lbs of fat on my entire body. Yeah I think I'm kinda going back to a depressed state, because it's been winter for so long. I think once I see some spring sun and no more snow I'll be in a better mood. It's why I hate taking off a day from working out. Makes me feel like I'm just sitting there doing nothing getting fatter. I think I'm always going to suffer from a poor body image. There was this guy that came in and I mean the guy has a six pack. He gained weight while losing body fat. The guy was still not satisfied. I think I suffer from what he suffers from. He was so worried that one of his muscles on one side looked more worked out then the other. You had to be right up there squinting to notice a difference. I mean I would kill for the stomach he has. Probably keep all my other proportions though. I do weight more then him both muscle and total weight wise. I guess it's a combination of society's fault and mine for my poor self image. In a world where they constantly show perfection it's hard to not set your standards to that. Like I said several times whenever you pick up a fitness magazine the models do not look like that 24/7. Bodybuilders don't look like they do at shows 24/7. Yet that's what we get shown. We see the air brushed, photo shop, perfect version. Then when we see them in real life we cut them down for getting so "fat" and "out of shape". I guess I've been in my head too much. Yeah I do need a day off to think of nothing. Those usually keep me from killing people or getting to depressed. So squiby has been down....a lot lately. It's why I haven't posted any of them in forever. I swear the site goes down more often then Paris Hilton. Yeah that was a zing. Yeah I can't stand her. Anyway today's video is one that was playing when I was working out the other day. It's called Upside Down by the A*Teens. I really loved that group growing up. Just thought they had some good songs. Then I learned that like 85% of there stuff is just remakes of other songs. Like ABBA's stuff and a song by Elvis. Or Under the Sea from the Little Mermaid. Anyway this song (as far as I know) is an original. It got stuck in my head a lot once I heard it. Hope you all enjoy it. Today's tip is you can't move forward if your always looking back, but you have to look back to learn from the past, so just move sideways.
